There are only 2 books in the Christian bible that do not directly mention god: Esther and Song of Solomon. Also known as Song of Songs, Song of Solomon is a beautifully sensual exchange of loving devotions between a man and a woman. This poem attempts to honor that gorgeously simple but stylized sense of love.

Beautiful ^^ I remember learning about & reading the Song of Solomon when I was growing up, but I can’t recall much of anything from it now. Got me wanting to go back and read it again. I didn’t realize that God wasn’t mentioned in either of these passages. That’s a fun tidbit, thanks ^^
The Old Testament is seriously as dull as watching paint dry sometimes. Song of Solomon? Gorgeous love song between two people. Simple gorge. 🍷
