This sad, affecting poem reminds me of so many different things… but especially the enduring power of true love. Call me a romantic, but learning to appreciate the beauty of our lives, even in death, helps sharpen the present and makes vivid the joys of memory. It even harkens to elements of the legend of Fionn Mac Cumhaill (‘Finn Mac Cool’).
Come listen and let your spirit soar to the cinematic narration by the inimitable Simon Howard on Twitter.

Amazing, as usual. The imagery is just magnificent!

The history, the love and saying the last goodbyes are captured so thoughtfully and soulfully that one wonders can death be so romantic:) Great poem.
