Lies. Sins. In some cases, can death be the one true forgiveness for our lies and sins? Or can we learn to forgive those who have aggrieved us before they cross the Veil?
This week, I have submitted 2 poems on the topic. I honestly could not choose which to share with you, as I love both for very different reasons. That said, would appreciate hearing from you in the comments which you prefer… and why!
And for those of you who are as a big of a William Faulkner fanboy or fangirl as I am, and maybe didn’t catch the allusions in the first poem, I wrote a second version of this poem. More specific. More intimate. More connected directly to “As I Lay Dying.” Enjoy.
